Caribbean World Shop Shipping Information

At Caribbean World Shop, your order means a lot to us, which is why we are dedicated to providing fast, safe, and reliable delivery services for all of our products. Deliveries are typically made Monday through Friday, and you can find delivery options for each item on its product page as well as in your cart.

 

Types of Shipping

Items are divided into two categories for shipping:

Shipping Small Items

  • Sent via UPS or FedEx.

  • Shipping options that list the speed of delivery.

  • Packages less than 150 lbs

 

To help protect you and the entire World community at this time, Caribbean World Shop has been offering a no-contact experience across our delivery options (both outdoor and indoor, where available). As we (along with our brand partners) take extra precautions, there may be isolated delays. We appreciate your patience and understanding if your order is affected and we think you’ll agree that our meticulously crafted Caribbean pieces are worth the wait.

 

General Information

In most cases, deliveries will be made by UPS or FedEx. Since signatures are not required for delivery, the decision to leave your package at your door will be left up to the delivery carrier. If you have any special delivery instructions, write a note with the delivery date and place it on your door. Include your name, request, and tracking number. Or you can contact us at:

Shipping Methods Continental North & South America 

All available shipping options will be listed in your cart, but here’s a breakdown of when you can expect your package.

 

Time frames that include filling the order and delivery:

  •     Two-Day Shipping: Within two business days

  •     Three-Day Shipping: Within three business days

 

Time frames that do not include filling the order, only the time you can expect it to take once it’s shipped from the vendor warehouse:

  •     Express Shipping: Within one business day.

  •     Expedited Shipping: Within two business days.

  •     Ground Shipping: Within one to seven business days.

  •     Economy Shipping: Within three to eight business days

Orders placed outside of business hours will be shipped the next day. Deliveries are not typically made on Saturdays or Sundays.

Shipping Large Items

General Information

Your order contains a large item if you are choosing how and where the item will be delivered during checkout. For these items, we partner with carriers who specialize in transportation and final delivery to ensure the product arrives safely and soundly. Your order is handled with the utmost care from the moment it leaves the warehouse to the time it has been successfully delivered to your home.

 

Process

Due to size and weight, large items must be shipped by truck. Therefore, delivery can take one to three weeks. Here’s a list of steps regarding this kind of shipment.

(1) You choose a delivery option for your item at checkout. Available delivery methods vary by item; all options will be displayed in the cart.

(2) Your order gets picked up from the warehouse. We'll send you a shipping confirmation email to let you know your order is on its way.

(3) Your order is shipped to a local delivery agent. A carrier transports your order to a delivery professional in your area.

(4) You schedule a delivery appointment. When the local delivery agent has your order, they will contact you to schedule a delivery date and set a time window.

Delivery Methods

You must pick a delivery method for large items at checkout so we can ensure a smooth delivery. For each method, your local delivery agent will contact you to arrange a date and a four-hour window for delivery. Signatures are required for all deliveries unless otherwise stated. Assembly services and packaging removal are not included unless otherwise stated.

 

Curbside (You Unload)

A delivery truck will arrive outside of your home within the scheduled four-hour window. Please note that you will have to unload the item(s) from the truck and move it into your home. You may want to ask a family member or friend for an extra hand.

 

Curbside (We Unload)

The delivery team will unload the item(s) and place them on the curb outside your home. Once it’s been dropped off, it’s yours. You may want to ask a family member or friend for an extra hand to move it.

 

 

Outside Front Door Drop-Off

The delivery team will unload the item(s) and leave it in a safe place outside your home (front door, porch, or garage). Once it’s been dropped off, it’s yours!

  • You are not required to be home to accept the delivery and a signature is not needed. Your item(s) will be delivered as long as the delivery team determines the area is secure.

  • For apartments and condos with a front desk, your item(s) will be dropped off there. For any apartments or condos that have outer doors only, your item(s) will be left outside the front door.

  • Please reach out to the local delivery agent directly if you need to reschedule your delivery. Their contact information can be found in the email detailing your delivery date and time window.

 

Inside Home Entrance Drop-Off

The delivery team will bring the item(s) inside your home (including apartments) and place it in the immediate entryway. It’s yours from there.

 

Room of Choice Delivery

The delivery team does the heavy lifting for you. They’ll bring your item(s) inside and place it in your room of choice. For an additional fee, they will remove and dispose of all packaging.

 

White-Glove Delivery

All-Inclusive Delivery, Packaging Removal & Assembly

Effortless delivery where the delivery team brings your item(s) inside to your room of choice, assembles it, and removes the packaging from your home.

Please note that the delivery team will not perform plumbing installation, electrical wiring, or services requiring the use of power tools.

 

Tracking Your Orders

Items are monitored every step of the way. To quickly see an estimated delivery date, navigate to My Orders. Each item (plus all the information you might need to know about it) will have its current status and estimated arrival date. From there, the exact location of your item can be found by clicking Track Your Package.

On the Track Your Package page, you can opt-in or out of text notifications to get real-time updates about the status of your order. Either way, we’ll keep you in the loop and send you a confirmation email with all the tracking information as soon as the item has shipped!

 

More About Estimated Delivery Dates

If you are interested in finding the estimated delivery date for an item before you place an order, just expand the Shipping & Returns tab on the item’s product page.

If you have placed an order, please note that estimated delivery dates vary depending on whether it is a small item or a large item:

 

Small Items

  • The estimated delivery date indicates when the item will arrive at your home.

  • Large Items

  • The estimated arrival date shows when the item will get to your local area.

  • A local Delivery Agent will then contact you to set up an exact delivery date and time window.

  • On your scheduled delivery date, our local delivery partner will call you 30 minutes prior to arrival to make sure you are home.

Caribbean World Shop Shipping Costs

Some orders at Caribbean World Shop ship for free! Here’s how it works:

  • A flat shipping rate of $10.99 applies for orders under $35.

  • Some orders over $35 qualify for free shipping.

Along with the price of an item being an indicator of free shipping, we also message “Free Shipping” wherever it applies. Keep an eye out for it underneath the price of the product while browsing and next to the image(s) on the product page.

If your order does not qualify for free shipping, any associated shipping costs will be listed in Cart, alongside the pricing details, and during checkout.

 

Exceptions

Additional shipping charges may apply to some countries and their territories. Due to shipping constraints, non-standard items such as flooring or specific large fixtures might not be eligible for free shipping.

 

Sales Tax

Aside from any shipping costs, your order may be subject to sales taxes. We are required to charge these based on specific countries and local tax rates.

 

NOTE: All our product is shipped directly from the Dominican Republic, North America, or South America. Import duties, taxes, or shipping fees are not included in the item price. These charges are the buyer's responsibility and are to be paid by the customer separately. We are not responsible for any of those charges. Please check with your local customs department to determine what these additional charges will be before buying. These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick up the product. Please do not confuse them for additional shipping charges.
